Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

[NAME REMOVED BECAUSE IT SEEMS THE WRONG GUY GOT BLAMED ON THE FACEBOOK PAGE]

British national [NAME REMOVED] is being accused on the Cambodia Scammers Facebook page of stealing $600 and other guest's passports from Rachana Guesthouse on Street 172 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Sounds like he's likely in Phnom Penh or Kampot at the moment.

Yeah, it's more of a warning to business owners around town who might want to turn him away.

Maybe you could buy a passport off him if yours is expired though..

So who is the accuser and why should we trust what they have to say?

Some smaller guesthouses don't have safes, but more like small storage lockers with tiny padlocks you must buy from them or bring yourself. The locks they sell themselves are often the kind that can easily be picked or cut with a small hand tool. I bet this type of theft happens quite often. we just don't hear about it.

Yep. Different names. Brothers traveling together? Took that off.

I'd check out the Facebook group. That's what he's being accused of:
Please report to me if you see this guy, he stole 600$ and other customer passport from my hostel.
Please do not accept this guy.

There were three man in male dormitory and this guy was the only one who stay in room while the other two guy away. This guy is disappear and left his staff in room now.

strange... why would he (the thief) leave his things back...

and why do they publish the passport of the brother (driving license?), when they were travelling together and the brother neither disappeared nor stole anything...

both ("brothers") disappeared ?

what facebook group is that ?

Does the FB page say he way travelling with his brother?

Anxious thieves often leave incriminating evidence behind in the panic to get away.

Edit: potty is correct. Birthdates are far apart.
