THE ITALIAN WHO WENT TO MALTA

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Don’t mind bout Logos, hes Belgian, they’re all tossers and reinforced basement builders anyway!
 However, we have not forgotten:
When World War I began, Germany invaded neutral Belgium and Luxembourg as part of the Schlieffen Plan, in an attempt to capture Paris quickly by catching the French off guard by invading through neutral countries.

It is widely claimed that the Belgian army's resistance during the early days of the war, with the army – around a tenth the size of the German army – holding up the German offensive for nearly a month, gave the French and British forces time to prepare for the Marne counteroffensive later in the year. Lang leve België :thumb:
My late greatgrandfather was amongst them, Lang leve de Vlaamsche Leeuw! :thumb:

Edit: and ‘Schild en Vriend’ for that matter.
:thumb:

My grandfather fought at Passchendaele.

I have heard it also about 20 years ago. BUT recently I was in restaurant in another country. And I saw it posted on the wall. I remember the joke. And it was really funny. Thats why I posted I dont say I invented it. :beer3:

Not mid-90s. In fact the youngest of we siblings is but 63, and I'm 70 in October.
Dad signed up as a teenager. A half-brother of ours died at 90 two years back, and a half-sister had her 90th two months ago, so you're partly right.
