It don't matter what nationality, be they French, UK, Irish, Oz or Kiwi, even German, many barang around here belong to the uneducated jail bait sort of class, they generally know shit about treating a computer gently, they will pound those keys until the laptop cracks, one time I saw this dude trying to get a dvd that was stuck inside because of the fake label on it being to thick, he started prying it open with a huge hunting knife, and sure he got the dvd out, but the computer was all in pieces.

Nuh bruh, you take off one piece of the chassis. You're wasting your money for a replacement you should be able to do by yourself in less than half an hour. It's a power switch. In the case of your old Dell here, you would remove the front piece.

I'm already happy if I can change a RAM or HD. Taking computers apart is one thing - putting them together again is another thing. I'd better keep my paws off (and pay Euro 79)

Nope - just checked it again. The front piece and the side pieces are somehow together and somehow attached to the metal frame inside.
