The cost of company...

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

for $300-400 per month you can have new company every night. Just head to Wat Phnom or Golden Sorya after sundown.

Hehe. Yes, though possibly not the same quality. And while the novelty factory of a new woman every night can be attractive, I think after a while most people who do this 'burn out' after gorging themselves sexually for a few months, and they search for someone a bit more meaningful.

I met my girlfriend (though she refers to herself as my wife since our engagement party) about three years ago. I've bought her and her family lots of small stuff, mainly appliances like washing machine, fridge, aircon, TV etc, plus loaned money for some building works at the family plot in Takeo.

I met her in a bar (yes ok cue the cliches..). Actually met her as a friend each time I was visiting Cambodia (she was managing the bar I mainly frequented) and we eventually got together after about a year.

$1000? Fuck me pink ! There have GOT to be tens of thousands of non bar girls who would consider this for much less than that. Someone needs to go down to the garment factory district and do some recruiting of talent. What do women get there for a full month of 12 hours days? Double that price and let's make a deal. Good English language skills can only harm the situation anyway. :thumb:

Cheers to the OP for an honest and well-written thread. I like the cut of your jib.
That being said here is where I see the matter: the longest relationship I'd want to have these days in 45 minutes.

Perhaps Vlad's new job could be as a talent agent. :)

Despite many widely-publicised expensive divorces, males still flock to the abattoirs, led to the slaughter by divorce lawyers.

I gave my partner $70 per month whether she needed it or not. Recently increased to $80 as she is off probation and now entitled to the minimum wage. http://www.wageindicator.org/main/salar ... e/cambodia
Of course I also ocasionally give generous performance based bonuses :beer2:

45 minutes? Mate...60 is absolute minimum - are you going local? And soon it is down to 8.5 minutes? Get your tool in shape and quit drinking the 18 cans of shite Anchor a day..."shoot" for 90-120, Old Chap...
