Teachers in Cambodia

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Seems like there are 2 questions here: does she come up with the goods ie; job and accommodation? And are they worth what you are paying her?

After that, you have to decide what it's worth to you to pay someone else to fix you up with these things. Obviously, if you are a bit clued up you won't need her help, but some people need a helping hand when they start out.
And you can always change your mind and walk away; what's she going to do ? Sue you?

The third question: can we use her to develop programs/curricula and get them running, and then replace her with a Filipino at a third of the cost?

The contract she sent me pays $1200 per month and that includes accomodation (seems fair). If anyone can shed some light on the working conditions at Golden Gate American school I would greatly appreciate it.
