Tea & Coffee: Local or western?

As a life-long coffee drinker, I have moved over to drinking tea and I was wondering on the tastes/preferences of our members regarding their favorite hot beverage.
I won't be completely dropping coffee, as it will be reserved for my 1st drink of the day and the occasional latte.

So tea or coffee?
and which brand/blend?

AFAIK there's no local tea but some good coffee from Mondulkiri can be bought, or from Vietnam. Keep the latter silent or your Khmer guests might refuse a cup of coffee.

I like both the Laos and Mondulkiri Arabica.
Wide selection of Tea as well.

They roast it so dark it's like charcoal though.

what I am buying seems like Full City + roast.

Mondulkiri coffee. If I drink coffee, it’s almost exclusively this. In fact, it’s Mondulkiri that got me back into drinking coffee in the morning.

I’m a big tea drinker, though.

Ceylon, Assam, English breakfast (yes, I know),
Jasmine teas
Gunpowder green tea, japanese Sencha
Black tea with Turmeric
Sometimes Darjeeling, Lapsang souchong, orange Pekoe.

Nowadays, Earl grey in desperation or under protest if that’s all that is available.

Preferably, made using a decent china teapot, or with infusers. But I often use tea bags for convenience.

No milk or sugar, thanks. Unless it’s Indian/chai, but only rarely.

No fruit teas, thanks.
Tea needs one important ingredient. That would be Tea. (Something about camel sinuses, according to those of a Latin bent) Rhubarb and hint of plum leaf tea, etc, are for folk who lack the imagination to come up with a term they are comfortable with, or have difficulty spelling infusion. They possibly also have a copy of Yong’s gender chart, and choose today’s gender identity randomly, rather than be dictated to by a random chemical event 9months prior to their arrival.
