A) They're wrong. No one "owns" a child... they only have responsibility for them and control over their upbringing. The child still has rights, and violating those rights is a crime, one which should forfeit the parent of their role in the childs life.

B) Those boys thankfully generally end up quite smeared themselves when that happens... or paying out the ass for it.

C) By your arguments in favor of regulating dangerous choices, sex itself (a VERY dangerous thing if done wrong, both physically and emotionally) should be a highly regulated activity that requires registration, permits, and rare actual cases of approval. I mean you'd have to show you're emotionally stable enough to be responsible with the other person's emotional responses to it... which is by and large a complete impossibility.

My impression is that while he seems to be a nice bloke he is very confused Libertarian. It's all or nothing I'm afraid. You can't be for "some" regulation can you? No half-assed reactionary allowed!

Life should be free and without any constraints - fuck the govt., authorities of any kind, other people and the hapless innocents. Isn't that why most people moved here?

The problem with "some" is who gets to pick where your arbitrary line is drawn?

Mob rule? Activists who claim to "know best"?

Spent some time in ClogLand with Mrs Stroppy visiting her rellies. They 'stock up' for the frozen winter over there and one of their favourite carbs is hot chips with mayonnaise and satay sauce. Took a while to get used to, but quite fond of it now. I have a favourite comment: in Holland every meal is deep fried fat. Dessert is distinguished from main course because it is deep fried fat with icing sugar.
There is a French-Canadian delite called Poutine, which is Fries, cheddar cheese, beef gravy over top.

Gooey, sticky, mass of fries. Yum.
Yes. Made that twice at Garage, great stuff. Cheese curds required, not just regular cheese. No pineapple, wouldn't interest the Bogan community.
One for Surely.

Well, at least they have stopped using "pink slime" in their burgers:

Or at least claim to:

Surging U.S. Beef Prices Revive Ingredient That Nearly Disappeared Two Years Ago

Mmmmm... yummy!

I think a lot of the blame also lays with the manufacturers, who use High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) as a much cheaper alternative to sugar ( to combat the high levels of salt) It is not nice and leads directly to fat deposits on some internal organs. The body finds it very had to break it down:

but it's not like the use of these ingredients is kept secret... meaning people who still choose to eat it accept responsibility for their consumption, and the results of it.
