The issue is likely to be dirt covering outflow pipe.

Karaoke Street is on one side of the large swamp and the Otres Road the other side. It extends a long way back.

Only patches of wetland remain with the odd buffalo still walking around.

In the rainy season this swamp would have been a natural place for water run off.

I remember a few weeks ago someone posted the plans for development of this area: High rise apartment buildings if l remember right .

Can anyone confirm that people have had to be moved out of their rooms on the lower part of Karaoke Street due to the rising water from the deminished swamp?

The water has to go somewhere!

There are blocks of rooms below the level of the fill.

I am hearing this happened in last 24 hours but need someone to confirm.
