Kandal: (News) At 9pm on December 16, 2019, a man, suspected of being a pervert, was hit in the face after he was caught looking at women on the toilet in a women's bathroom on National Road 2, Kandal Province.

He was immediately given a beating and tied up while the police were called.

UPDATE: The suspect denies any ill intentions, and defends himself on social media.

Kandal: The man who was beaten after he was found in a women's toilets at a petrol station on National road 2, says that he stopped there to use the toilet facilities, but wandered into the women's restroom by mistake. He claimed that before he knew what was happening, he was assaulted and tied up by the station owner and his son, who were beating him to try to make him confess to taking photos of women urinating.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On the evening of December 20, 2019, Phnom Penh Municipal Court Deputy Prosecutor Say Nora charged Saon Vithrat, the owner of the PTT gas station, and his son, Chan Sarun, with intentional violence under Article 218 of the Penal Code.

The owner of the PTT station was taken to Dangkor Police Inspectorate, pending an appearance before the judge this morning, on December 21.
