Sure its cheap but it is crap

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Yeah some GH owner lady by the name of Lisa Gagnon was bitching on the Siem Reap expats fb earlier this month about a few guesthouses offering rooms for 7 or 8$. She was trying to convince others that price collusion would be best. As if any Khmers would give her the time of day. It was comedy gold!

I stayed in Angkor Wonder Hostel and was good, but think closed now. 11 air con, but fan was 6.

Can you rent Khmer rooms by month down side alleys like you can in SHK?

Little like home stays Bali?

the $7 a night room i stay in has Cable TV, hot shower, toiletries, WiFi, good security, room cleaned on request, just let them know a day or 2 in advance that im coming and keep the room as long as i want,
TBH that is the local price though, they would probably charge you $10 cuz you iz a barrang

keep Australia for australians they dont even let aussies take cleaning jobs any more just put em on the dole while third worlders take the easy good paying jobs.
