If you want an example of an underdog Sailorman look no further than the Scottish farmer who wouldn't be bullied off the land he occupied for years because Trump didn't like the view of his dwelling from his new golf course in Aberdeen. No amount of Trump money or legal threats would move him, he was voted Scotsman of the Year by the public

I'm looking forward to watching him in action and see how his rhetoric translates into action and how successfully he dismantles the corrupt Washington system he supposedly despises. They all say they are going to do that.

Glad to see the back of the Clintons hopefully once and for all myself, what a horrible family.

ummm..... wrong Roosevelt.

teddy got in once as a promo from VP when pres McKinley got shot(I think it was by a serb anarchist). then ran again and won one term.
he then (somewhat famously) said he'd only serve those 2 times.

he later recanted and tried to run again as a 'bull moose'...he lost. some say his 3rd party run gave the election to Woodrow Wilson (of WW1 fame).
it was the most successful 3rd party run in presidential history.


FDR was the one elected 4 times, really only serving 3 as he died in office just after his 4th election.
this also caused the US to change the law allowing for only 2 terms as president (although one could still sort of serve 3 terms if they got their 1st
crack at it via the promo route if the pres died in office.)

as for trump.... maybe a wait and see approach might be worth it.

there's going to be some interesting advisors/cabinet members (some of which I quite agree with) and you still have to get things through congress.

let's not forget, the President proposes, the congress disposes.....

Well, thats stating the bloody obvious considering he just got elected to the most scrutinised political office in ..well, you know... the world.

Sailorman is a little bit naive. Trump wont change the system, no one can. He is already looking like a lying politician. Word is that within one or two years he will be replaced by Pence the machineman that the Party want. Trump will be impeached over national security concerns with the Russians or be forced to resign.
