I've read that Parrots never really have an original thought and only repeat what they perceive will get them a reward or recognized. That seems like such a sad life, but what the heck their only stupid birds and I guess setting in one spot (perch), day after day and doing the same thing could be boring and any diversion is it own reward.

Speaking of mindless repetition, how about you tell us about your court case and the terrorist US government?

Yeah, it's like click-baiting, but without the story it's just a tease. I bet it didn't start or end in a church - just sayin'.

Oh God, it seems fair I tell...

Well, here's the mark from where the LadyBoy struck me with her stiletto heel.

3 stitches. In a shabby clinic with very weak anesthetic.

No permanent marks from where the Nigerian hit me in the face, which fucked up my eye for about a week. Had a bloodshot zombie eye.

Ok, another time. I need sleep.

The first time I got my door kicked in was pretty scary. Especially as me and a mate were stoned out our tits watching a horror movie at about 1am after a day in the recording studio. No warning, no shouts, just the door coming in. I thought I was getting whacked. I ran to the room to get a baseball bat, which wasn't there! They got through the door and I heard my mate get flattened in the hallway. I ran out the room to help him, and they were big rough looking fuckers, gloved up. He still thanks me to this day for coming to help in instead of bailing out the window. Anyway, I was never so glad to find out it was the police lol, which they shouted as I ran out the room.

I went with a girlfriend on a North Atlantic Christmas cruise. The sea was rough. Many people had broken or sprained limbs from getting thrown about all week, and most were sea sick at some point. It was wild. The last night though, was unbelievable. The sea disappeared under the front of the ship, and we would dive into it, back up, dive again. The nightclub was like a wake. Everyone thought we were finished. There was no point in putting on lifejackets in that sea. I text my will lol, but it didn't send. It was at the same time as the tsunami, and we had been looking to go to Phuket. In fact many people text us as they thought we had gone there.

Good thread,

About time someone owned up to being scared, careless, daft or mad! Surprising amount of genius here otherwise!

Lot's of the stuff you guys listed is scary, I have avoided most of it. There was that Nigerian ladyboy, but it was consensual.

It was, and always will be my kids. I have never been so afraid, I can't be with them 24/7, I look at where I live and it is fraught with dangers for a little one. To come home every day and sigh with relief that your child is safe and well, only points to the fact that even if you weren't aware, you were worried about them all of the time you were away.

Maybe I have seen too many movies, but if asked what I would do for them, the answer is "Anything", at any cost, any time, ever.

That in itself is probably the most scary thing I have ever felt, full and true commitment to another human's condition.
Never thought I had it in me!(Cue Nigerian Ladyboy quip!)

Parrots only parrot what they see and cannot do. (or don't have bal*s to do.) Squawk and sh*t, that's what parrots are good at, but most others dare to do things that test their limits as seen by some of the great stories here. Contribute to life or be a parrot all your miserable life.

A sightseeing tour out to Phi Phi island was a nightmare. Our first time in the water snorkeling, we look down and there a sea snake right underneath us. I must've walked on water, SC tried the pretzel thing making sure I was safe. But the time we were ready to go back a storm had developed. We were both sure that this tub was going down as the boat would go up over a wave and come down on its side repeatedly.

Having a death adder come out of the ceiling and just hang there right outside my office door. I couldn't leave my office without walking under it.

Going outside to investigate the dog baking to walk into a murder scene in our front yard. Love triangle gone wrong and an innocent mate of those involved was shot by crossbow. SC was trying to save the guy but sent me inside as the idiot with the crossbow was still out there and the dead guys mate was high, had gone into shock and was wigging out on our neighbors front door step. Standing just inside, behind the door watching this unfold while my husband was in the middle of it, waiting for the police to arrive.....

Watching my hubby during a suspected heart attack 3 months after getting married. Turned out to be a PE but I was standing at the foot of the bed trying to tell the staff something was very wrong when he crashed.

There's more but that's all I can handle taking about right now.
