Re: stroppychops.com
I don't mean it as a dig. As my sig. States, no malice or sarcasm intended.badneighour wrote:word....lol...my thread
It is and was a big deal between the forums and their rivalry, but surely we need to take the high road and move on, you know, with threads that draw intrigue from the masses and help each other to grow as a collective.
There was no sarcasm or malice intended during the making of this post.

Scoby and company are alright guys... they're just panicked and a little paranoid because they saw the downward spiral it was going into with a jackass at the helm and are trying to save it from that. Especially after he convinced them to shell out so much dosh for the damn thing.

You and theGeneral keep stating this, and you're quite possibly right in your experience, but for most people here the only experience of 'Scoby and company' is when they roll up here on the prat wagon and attempt to sabotage the vibe - because their own sucks at the moment and they're bored. Maybe if they contribute once in a while, the slagfest will ease. We get that you guys are all drinking buddies, but the rest of us just go by the words on the screen.OrangeDragon wrote:Scoby and company are alright guys... they're just panicked and a little paranoid because they saw the downward spiral it was going into with a jackass at the helm and are trying to save it from that. Re: stroppychops.com
It happens but really their content focus has to be on their own site, just as our has to be on our site. Which I'm sure doesn't leave them much time to come post over here... so the little time they do spend is all in defending themselves in the slag threads. They're not ragging on us/etc like the previous owner was (though some of their members still have a go at us), and even during all of that playboy made several efforts to try and reign him in... all of which faltered and failed.StroppyChops wrote:You and theGeneral keep stating this, and you're quite possibly right in your experience, but for most people here the only experience of 'Scoby and company' is when they roll up here on the prat wagon and attempt to sabotage the vibe - because their own sucks at the moment and they're bored. I'd love to see them post more over here and playboy does from time to time, not just in the slagfest threads... though since he started getting attacked in there heavily he's stopped posting elsewhere on here, as one would anywhere they were made to feel unwelcome.

Are you taking the piss? Fucking hell. If you welcome their trolling, shit stirring and repeated CEO slagging/K440 promotion on here then by all means invite them back with your apologies. You are clueless.OrangeDragon wrote:.. though since he started getting attacked in there heavily he's stopped posting elsewhere on here, as one would anywhere they were made to feel unwelcome.

Re: stroppychops.com
I think this is well said. Gavinmac came on here and was his usual argumentative self but the others were, as a whole, respectful and restrained. I don't know why StroppyChops has a weird fetish against them (he seems like a reasonable guy most of the time), but by and large, it's time to bury the hatchet. It was fun bitching when KiR was in charge, but both sides seem to want reconciliation these days, and I think that's the best way to go.OrangeDragon wrote:It happens but really their content focus has to be on their own site, just as our has to be on our site.
