Stolen Dogs Prepared for Meat and Leather in Cambodia (VID)

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I've never understood how people don't get sick when eating raw meat.

There's a vast difference between a dog, which many people keep as pets, and a sheep.

Dogs are intelligent, loyal creatures that many form bonds with over years.

Any civilised country views using said friends as meat with the disgust it deserves.

Random sheep are sheep. I suppose a few people have formed bonds with individual sheep and cows, but we would also be disgusted if they one day simply chopped it up and ate it it.

It's about the bond, and the bond is possible because of the relative intelligence of most dog breeds

^ good point...this came to a front during the Foot and Mouth outbreak in Britain in the early in 2000 . Then a number of owners had sheep as pets which where all kept alone but were order to be destroyed....they weren't happy.... this would be unheard of in regards to dogs...

So should we eat dolphin or monkey or is that a definite no go?

Yes, but they're both smarter than dogs.

Someone told me just the other day that monkey is the most delicious meat -they eat it in the north, so he said.

I thought the video of the twitching frog legs was disturbing. Then I watched that video of the (cute) Japanese girl eating the insides out of a frog while the frog just sat there and stared at her, watching her eat away his insides. Nightmare material.
I promise that many Japanese hate that sort of thing too, so please world, don't think we're all psychopathic live meat eating torture happy pet munchers.

I'm not sure why, but I feel like if you're going to eat a monkey you should eat monkey brains.
