SHV Foreigners living in the dumps (ie.40-60$ rooms)

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Drove up to Crystal Cascades today, only 15Ks. Wow, a beautiful road in and then walked from the car park up the creek. Wonderful swimming holes all the way up in a magnificent valley. At the top is the main waterfall, a kid turned up with a rod and a lure and caught a big jungle perch. All the way up the trail we saw trout in the creek.
A family turned up at the head of the creek where were were swimming in the very cold water and threw some crackers in the water. A turtle appeared and the missus grabbed it, it was about 200mm across. Then we found an eel and many yabbies with long claws. The khmers loved it, no rubbish and all this animal life. Talk about living the dream, FNQ is a magnificent natural environment and one of the best in the world.
In the evening we filled an eskie with mussels, prawns and rice and drove ten minutes to the waterside where we swam in the huge pool and had the BBQ, free of course.
This place is unreal for families and I received my second pension payment this morning $877 a fortnight.Tomorrow for Xmas we will BBQ at home, visist friends and swim again at the lagoon tomorrow evening.
Still battling the bogans but they fade into insignifigance compared to all the good things here.
