Short Story

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

OMG---MGTOWS???????

This is UNREAL.

(Pkkkk....it neuters them)

wow.....

Violet and Rozzie, I'd love a CEO forum women meet-up! Maybe the forum men can join us after a while, for a big night of entertainment and laughs.

I hope to be in PP later this year.

He was only one of the very finest posters to ever put words down here.

LTO--longterm observer, referring to Cambodian election observing in the 90s--was brilliant about all things Cambodia, writing much about it in the Canby Publications Guides. His knowledge of history, politics, and in particular, architecture, was exceptionally helpful. Not only that, he had a keen wit and wasn't afraid to lock horns with idiots.

Not that he did. He would, however, put you in your place if you were an ass, and especially, if you were rude to others.

LTO was in a class all his own, and has been missed tremendously from all over the globe. His family, friends, workers, and online friends---and this forum was one of his hangouts. He was a complex individual. I was with him for about twelve years--married for eight. Who's LTO!

He drowned in the Tonle Sap in December of 2016.

He used to post here?
Before I remember then.
Shame as he was apparently the most eloquent poster.
Anyhoo, that is relevant to your posts how? Yes I'm aware you were partners, does that mean his posts validate yours and vice versa?

LTO may have posted here occasionally, but khmer440 was his local.
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

2016 wasn't that long ago. You must be new to Cambodia?

Yes, he was eloquent.

No to the last comment, and I'm not sure what your point is.

Fucking hell man you're really banging on about this aren't you?

Not going to let it go are you?

Must be pretty fucking important to get this LTO mention all hashed out for you.

I guess I'll have to chime in since I was the one who mentioned him. I hope this answer satisfies this odd itch you have because I'm not continuing any dialogue with you after this post about this.

Cinnamoncat, who is know to many of us, started a thread linking to her latest piece of writing.

Phuket Richard, made what I thought was and insensitive and potentially derailing swipe about how "he never clicks on links without descriptions."

He could have just shut the fuck up and not clicked the link, but he had to chime in which annoyed me.

It annoyed me because I think Cinnamoncat is not someone who is going to post links to malware.

I gave reasons why I thought this; she is not a suspicious first time poster; she has posted links to her writing before; she is an established contributing member of CEO, wherein she wrote at length about her life in Cambodia with LTO, etc, etc, etc.

That is why I mentioned LTO. Maybe I should not have.

I hope this satisfies your odd hang-up with the LTO mention.

Can we give it a rest now Barang Chgout?

He doesn't bother me.
I got several messages telling me he was an asshole.
I think he's just bored and having a bad day.

Fair enough, excuse my ignorance about deceased posters from other forums.
I shall not ask again about things I dont understand.
Apologies to any who were offended.
