Anyone here have a close and trusted police contact at mid to high level? Possibly urgent. PM only.
Far as I saw its the same guy he seems to have two profiles and two different spellings of the name but though I don't know the guy I'd suggest he is legit as he is a mod on the boards he posted so pretty sure he'd know if he was hacked.

Maybe for once people read the goddam post and PM'd him!
The two male profiles are definitely separate people.

I don’t think so.
598 is Phnom Penh Thmey.

It’s not really that close to Russey Keo (as per my understanding of sangkat boundaries)
598 is the border between Tuol Kork and Phnom Penh Thmei, then it goes through Russei Keo before joining with NR5.

My bad. I thought beyond Camko roundabout it changed to Chea Sophara Road. Never heard anyone call it 598 beyond the roundabout.

I wasn't sure myself, on Google Earth they don't give it a number or name on the northern part but you can find the odd business with 598 on their signage.

I suspect that might be legacy signage. I reckon now it’s commonly known as Chea Sophara Road/Street but I won’t argue.

I would think that it's known by both the name and the number.

There are numerous roads around the city known by names and numbers.

Of course it is. Even the long term named Blvds have numbers. Mao Tse Toung is 245, Monireth / Charles de Gaulle is 217. RCAF St (Yuthipol khemarak phoumin) is 271, Monivong is 93, Norodom is 41 and so on.

As for 598, google hasn't got the memo about the new title. ImageImage

What I find really annoying on Google Earth maps/ satellite images is that with most of the streets that have names and numbers, the name is given precedence and the number is really hard or impossible to find. Apparently the maps can be modified by users, and it seems some perhaps nationalist type has decided that the names should be more prominent than the numbers. Previously the numbers were more prominent. It makes it really difficult to use at times, as there aren't too many street names I know, and it seems the same for most locals. There are the obvious main roads like Monivong/ Norodom/ Sihanouk/ Mao Tse Tung, Veng Sreng etc but as for the smaller ones not many, only a few like Pasteur (51) and Tepon (182) come to mind. Even big roads like 271 which is officially called "Plough Yothapol Khemarak Poumin" are more commonly called by their number like "Plough bpi roy jet muay".
So it seems kind of pointless and counterproductive. Maybe there's some way to adjust the settings, I don't know. :?

Haha, yea that's a pain....remember a couple/few years ago all the street names/numbers were changed from English to Khmer script, now that was a real pain in the ass.
