Everywhere sucks when you hate yourself.
Guess what too?
Just because you suck at life and can't get any enjoyment anywhere doesn't mean that others are as lame and sad as you are.
Guess what three?

It's funny how BKKTrapper, with all his years living in Cambodia garbage, has never actually met anyone here.

Then again maybe he's already been? It's a lot more dangerous in some ways, but a lot less hastle in many others. I travel to learn. In Africa I learnt more in a year and a half, than I've done in SEA in almost seven years. Anything much I've learnt here has mainly been from books etc. Second hand info. It's a personal thing though, I'm sure others have had completely different experiences here.

yeah i love being in SEA,
and of coarse, at times, i get bored, espesh in SHV as there isnt much to do,
but a change is as good as a break, ill just drive out to Kampot or go to PP for a week,
plus im FAR less bored than i would be back in the UK,
i rarely see or go out with my mates anymore as they are all married with kids now,
SEA always got friends, acquaintances or strangers to go out for a beer with as and when i like

no never been to Africa,
a part of me does want to check it out,
it is penciled in my to do list,
Japan is my No.1 Priority though,
i say every year im going to go, was meant to meet Gavin Mac there in May and hit a baseball game and go to the Sumo Championships,
but was still in Cambodia and then ended up going to Pattaya instead

Japan is probably the only place id happily go round and be a tourist, so much i want to see haha
everywhere else im more of a "mingler" than someone who does "touristy things"

I hang with locals in Cambodia jon bingham ......

I have nothing to prove to expats.....

They proved to me they are a bunch if alcoholic, off the rails nutters and most need to sort there lifes out.

You got your prioritys is right , japan is civilised also very cheap if you want it to be.

To many idiots in SEA , most have no clue about life outside of boozing and wouldnt explore outside off there 20£ a month hovels located in steung mean chey because they dont wanna lose the pissing contest of "longest living expat in PP".....

maybe you could get a tefl job to keep yourself amused. you have to wear a tie, but short sleeves seem ok.

Not a chance, he's barely literate. He should just stick to what he knows - dorms, talking to alcoholic tourists in crappy dive bars, whoremongering, shitty food and his $50,000 an hour job sweeping floors. He has it all figured.

Its roadworks and it pats 31 an hour and yes most dive bars in KoW are rubbish plus the food in KoW is crap.
Im over the border now because atleast thai food is edible and the bars serve way better beer that doesnt give the DTs like rubbish khmer beers.
