Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. What's the difference between rape and unlawful carnal knowledge?
I think the better question is what's the difference between sex with a minor and unlawful carnal knowledge?
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

Correct. Legal terminology varies worldwide. In the U.S. it is called statutory rape. It means they cannot prove the offender forced forced the underage victim to have sex, so a lesser sentence is imposed.

The CRC will weed out a lot of people, and so would genuine ARCs (Academic Record Checks).

I know of at least one clown who claims he has a Ph. D but wouldn't tell people what university he did it through.

The biggest basketcase in the region with the lowest pay... :D

Most schools are lucky if they can get anybody.

Most likely, this will fizzle out and be forgot after the election. Otherwise, there be a massive teacher shortage.

Do you think we will see more call for Chinese speaking teachers and less for English? :stir:

Citizens of the jade Empire aren't going anywhere, and those who learn the language of their new masters may be accepted as trustees and given better roles in the future.

Smart schools already include Chinese in their curriculum, and a decent Chinese teacher can ask for close to what NS English teachers get.

The reason why English will rule for a long time yet is that one can go from beginner to literate in 6 months with English. In Chinese, make that 5 years if you want to read/write as well.
