Does anybody know anything about the 'Sound Factory' business he was opening in Phnom Penh?
Sound Factory

Planned to be one of the largest audio production company in South East Asia.

It will be located in the center of the capital city Phnom Penh, Cambodia and will be the prime Studio to arrange and produce your next recording or Album.

Design with the latest in studio technology and ran by an international staff under the direction of world class engineers and musicians, Sound Factory will set there place in the music industry.

It also will guarantee the best quality recordings in the region.

This is a full entertainment company in other words. Sound factory I will be a “One stop shop.”

From pre to post production.

We will provide our artists and musicians the facilities to make their thoughts come to light.

The facility will host

2 Recording Studios
1 Rehearsal studio
1 Dance studio
1 Acoustic studio for practice or lessons (Grand Piano)
1 String studio for guitar lessons or practice
1 Percussion studio
1 Post Production Studio

Recording studios. (Band and Choir Studio)

There will be 2 world class recording studios on the premises.

Studio A

Our state of the art studio will include a large recording room that can host a full 10 piece band including vocalists and musicians.

With its Protools HD platform this room will be capable of recording 64 tracks simultaneously and playback of over 128 virtual recorded tracks, without a hitch.

Industry standard gear for musicians to record and state of the art condenser vocal microphones also Full sets of Shure Mics for our Tama and DW drum Sets

Marshal and DW Cabinets and a few fender Cabs to brighten our day.

This studio is a musicians dream no matter where in the world you are from.

Studio B. (Track Music/Voice Over Studio)

It will have 2 separate vocal booths and a control room.

This studio will be ideal for track recordings or most would called voice over instrument recordings, also great for movie voiceovers or script dialog recordings, commercials, podcasts, drops, or just poetry recording, etc.

Capable of recording 32. Tracks simultaneously and playback of 64 virtual tracks

Platform is Protools, Nuendo, Cubase.

This studio can also be used to edit movie sound tracks.

Great for Pop or solo artists album production, where the music is already Pre-made and the vocals are recorded onto the track.

Rehearsal Studio

As the name already mentioned this studio is designed to rehearse.

Musicians will love this room.

Furnished with the top gear in live performances.

Bass, Acoustic, Electric, Percussion, Strings Keys Horns etc. this room will take your live gig to another level.

As they say “Practice Make Perfect”.

Dance Studio

Providing quality and fun dance instruction through an educated group of teachers to the Phnom Penh, Cambodia community.

Acoustic Studio (Grand Piano Room)

This is for the serious or want to be serious Pianist.

Here you will find a Grand Piano perfectly tuned in a great acoustic room, built specifically for the tunes of a classical instrument this is where you get lost in the music and create a masterpiece build to the worlds standard specifications and placed in the perfect spot for the notes to travel.

If you are a Pianist there is no where else you would rather be. again. Perfect for arrangements.

String Studio (Guitar Room)

Guitarist paradise, wether you are a acoustic or electric guitarist you play the Sanshin or the Banjo. This is the room for you to touch up on your skills built to accommodate your pray tice needs to get your skills to the next level.

Percussion Studio (Drum Room)

Enter a Studio to where you can bang on your drum all day without disturbing your neighbors equipped with a seven piece acoustic drum and a few other African drums this is the ideal practice environment for drummers at any level.

Post Production Studio. (Mastering Studio)

This is where it all comes together. With industry standard DSP’s, Mastering Softwares and Master Plugging packages, is what really set Sound Factory apart from its competitors.

Mastering has become a lost art, with DAW’s software prices affordable and requires less processing power.

Every musician with a Mac or PC thinks they are a producer and they don't need mastering or a studio.

WRONG!

Mastering is a must.

Listening to the music produced or released in South East Asia especially the Cambodia Vietnam Thailand region one can easily set apart the quality from say a track produced in Japan or Korea.

Reason is but one factor Post Production.

Identifying this issue and implementing this practice in our Sound factory, is one of the main reason Artist managers and other labels are already lining up at our doors and can't wait for us to open.

We will have what the Region needs a “Mastering Studio.”

Business Module

Our aim as mentioned above is to be the top music production company in South East Asia and a top contender in the whole Pacific Region.

Our Record label will host the best artists and production team and our music will be played in all venues and PEEM will be a household name.
---------------------------------------

To do this we will require a total investment of 1.2 million Euros.

Here is the breakdown of investment and terms of return:

How will we accomplish this task?

Currently we have already in negotiations to sign the top talent management agency in Cambodia, “208 Entertainment ." Ran by Mr. Brendan Gallagher.

208 entertainment is Cambodia’s Premium talent agency.

They represent Cambodia’s most talented and marketable Singers, Models, Mc’s and Dj’s.

Operating at international standards and with over 15 years experience in Europe, Asia, and Australia this puts them at lead of the pack.

With 208 comes Smart Music, Smart is the top cellular and mobile phone service provider in Cambodia also they are the largest investors in the Entertainment business here also.

We already secured joint ventures with media outlet facilities such as radio stations and Music Television broadcasting stations. Such ventures are with MyTv, cTn Television, Radio One, Love FM. And a few more to list at a further date.

Studio will be ran by Dwight Hayden, Dwight is has been in the music industry for over 30yrs he started out as a solo artist in NYC under a contract from Penthouse Records a label under Arista Records.

Then moved to Europe where he was signed by Virgin Records, he then studied in Stuttgart Germany The art of Music Production at a time when the music business was migrating to Daw’s (Digital Audi Workstations), and earned his certification with Stienberg Cubase, Nuendo, and Wavelab.

After completion of these courses he then returned to America where he studied at American Institute of Music there he studied Pre and post production using Protools and mastering plugin bundles such as Waves and Slate packages.

Also digital audio workstations and sound modification.

He then moved to Italy where he was signed as a singer songwriter under BMG music which was then transferred to BMG Sony Records. There he made a few hit singles on the Euro Label with his former group “The Big Casino”.

In 2008 Hayden then moved to Japan where he build another production company called JamOne Entertainment. Jamone quickly became a strong competitor in the Japanese market as far as music production and artist development.

Major international stars has been recorded in this studio such as Sean Paul, Loyd, Waka Flacka, Kat Deluna, Chenelle, and many more, now Dwight is ready for the next chapter “Sound Factory”

Some of the Japanese Production team will also be moving to Cambodia to help with the daily operations and artist development.

There is no reason not to invest in this opportunity, this is a long term investment with a 9% annually interest return rate. And like any investment at this multitude it is risky, but on the other hand it can be very profitable.

And face it, how many people can say I am part owner or I've invested in the largest Music production company in South East Asia.

Wouldn't it be nice to see a Pop Star on the television which you know you are apart of their success.

Risk

Like any other investment there is always a risk factor, and in the music business yes the risk is generally high.

It averages $100,000 - $150,000 USD to properly develop an artist in Europe Or in America which is a high risk, but in our case it only take $10,000 - $15,000 USD which is 10% of the European cost.

This factor now reduces your risk 90%, based on the fact its 90% less cost.

There are stars here recording hits in bedrooms or homemade studios and the quality between there recordings and what we will have to offer at Sound Factory is the difference between night and day, this alone makes us confident in taking your money and investing it in this project.

How we make money?

Artists

In the music industry there are lots of ways to make money and with the latest changes it makes money easier to make.

Due to the decline in music sales caused by piracy and duplication of copyrighted music.

The industry has implemented what we call a 360 deal, this deal allows company like ours to collect a percentage from all monies an artist under our label makes.

For instants, Artist A does a concert in Tokyo and the received $20,000 for the performance we automatically receive 25% of that artist guarantee upfront before the concert.

Then artist A does a promotional meet and greet at Tower Records, and was paid $10,000 that we also get 25% of that deal then there is an afterparty for $15.000 USD we also receive 25% so instead of just making publishing rights or what we call royalty and have to wait every quarter to collect we can now collect immediately on all income.

Now multiply that by the 3 dozen signed Artist on our label and many more to come we will be making a substantial amount on just showcasing our artists.

Then there are income from record sales, endorsements, sponsorships, tours, public engagements and private parties.

So in short, one artists can bring us over 100k yearly.

Production.

We will be making money also on producing musical compositions normally called instrumentals.

There is a high demand in Cambodia for this.

Due to the lack of facilities such as Sound Factory, the production quality here is at the least 30 yrs behind in sound quality.

Not only will we be providing this service but we will be setting the standard as to what music quality should be.

This is Also good earnings, a musical composition normally at an average will take anywhere from 24 -72 hours based on genre and style.

We make money by the hour, an average hour will cost our clients $15 - $25 and so 1 track on a 15 song album will cost anywhere from $360 - $1800 multiply by 15 that album can earn us $27,000 USD before it even touch our post production studio.

Post production based on this region cost $35 USD per hour.

One song at an average will take 6 hours to master, thats an additional $3,150.

But wait this is only the instrumental.

A composition is composed of vocals and music, here comes an additional cost to record the vocals on the music, to complete the song.

This is an additional $15 per hour at an average of 10 hrs per song.

That equates to $2,250.

So in total to create one original album, Sound factory will earn a minimum of $10,800 - $32,400 USD.

Rehearsal Studio

In this studio we will be charging $10 per hour.

There is nothing like this in Phnom Penh.

We will be furnishing the top musical gear most bands requests on performance riders to date.

Brands like Marshal, DW, Fender, Pearl, Mesa Boogie, Ampeg, Korg, Yamaha, just to name a few.

By putting these gear in this facility it will attract musicians from all around the region, simply because this does not exist in South East Asia.

Here we are estimating for this room $100 daily

Same for the Piano Room, Guitar Room And Drum Room. Each are estimated at $100 USD per day.

This will bring our total income from rehearsal studios $400 daily.

Dance Studio

Modeled off the top Expat ran and owned dance studio in Okinawa Japan “FootLoose Okinawa”.

We will charge a monthly tuition fee. Of $30 per class. We will be teaching 6 classes so most student will be signing up for 2 or more classes.

From lyrical to Jazz, ballet, hiphop, Zumba to Yoga we will provide talented and experience instructors rotating from Japan so our standard will remain high and second to none in the Region.

Estimating at 60 students per month taking minimum 2 classes we are looking at an income of $3600 USD monthly.

These numbers are without record/music sales which we put as a plus.

On top off all projectable income.

Again this is a great investment opportunity and we expect a lot of our investors to jump on this project, again our total investment will be $1.2million USD.

Current Status of Sound Factory

We have already secured the building for the facilities mentioned above and are currently in the renovation process, also we have already shipped and is now being stored locally Jamone studios which was located in Okinawa Japan.

So Lets Make Music

In closing we do not want to be the next Universal or Sony Studio.

We just want to set our place in the music industry and spread our love and knowledge through the music we create, and build a bridge with our host Country and neighboring Nations through Sound Factory and its Label “Pink Elephant Entertainment Music.” (PEEM)

I have to leave Cambodia for a bit as advised by my Embassy.
I'll provide further detail as soon as I am gone.

I seen a number of dismissive posts regarding Mr Schmalohr about the underage boys and the circumstances surrounding them. I just a guy behind a computer screen that none of you know, but I'm also a witness to the allegations. Have fun making light of this topic, because it sure hasn't been fun for me.
The fallout from this drama has cost me everything. My life in Cambodia is over. I've been threatened and intimidated in person by some scary goons.
This is not the typical pedo case. Schmalohr is much more than an infamous ponzy scheme operator. I investigated him for months and the rabbit hole goes deep.
Ask yourself a simple question, what sense does it make to line both sides of an entire street with businesses that were not only empty for the most part but competed with each other? All the while pouring shitloads of money into construction while your completed businesses sit empty.
The answer is simple. The businesses are not there to make a profit, but I'm sure somewhere there is a set of books that show they do make a profit.
A few posters asked why this has not shown up in the local press. There are two answers to that.
1. It never happened and I'm a liar.
2. It happened and the press is ignoring this. I can't imagine why they would do that .
I saved five young boys from a horrible fate at least for now, but they back in the hands of the very same institution that handed them over and they know who I am. All of his people left here know who I am.
So, as you imagine my distaste for commenters reaching conclusions about a fucking sandwich from a picture on FB without looking into this any deeper.

"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh."

I think what bothers me most is the accusation that he's a paedophile by the OP. It seems pretty likely he's a fraudster and he's gay... beyond that though...?

PEEM - Our release

Bet someone hired that '' expensive '' gear for a photo shoot. The acoustics would be great in a four brick walls room.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
