robbed

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. I think most men tend to keep their money in their wallets. It's more hygienic than shoving it up your arse. And I think most people tend to put their wallets on a bedside cabinet or table before they sleep. So how is this a massive coincidence? Unless you're in the 0.00000001% who actually does put their money up their arse before they sleep?

ALL your money?

To the point where you have to attempt to sell your possessions the next day as you are penniless?

I doubt it.

That's how I read your original post, too. Admittedly though: if someone stole my wallet, they would not get all my money but I would be unable to access my cash as my credit cards and ATM cards are in there. Though going to a bank would work, I suppose.

I was expressing doubt about the GrinchSR's assertion that most men keep all their money in their wallets and on their bedside tables, not the facts of your break in FLB.

That's some shit to happen, and an illustration of how easily one can become a victim.

Please be more security conscious, people. Don't leave valuables out in the open, or where thieves might expect them to be.

Very dangerous.

They got through a grated window? How did that work? Those things are usually pretty solid, or solid enough to require some noise to remove it. How exactly did they get through it?

Don't know in this case but when I got burgled in Vietnam the (otherwise useless) cops told me that they used car jacks to slowly bend them open without making noise.
And they also need electricity, LOL.
True, only experienced around 47 power cuts when I was in South Africa earlier this year. Big problem in Safferland but maybe those fences are connected to UPS's. Would be too easy for thieves to disable otherwise.

they came in through a ground floor window with a welded grill.
they used a hardwood tool handle to break the welded panel.
i was asleep upstairs with 2 fans full bore.

gas welds are pretty shitty.

they removed the front outdoor fluoro tube too.
