Riverside

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

You're probably right. Despite that I was wedged in traffic at the lights.

I love tooting my horn at the ones who run the red light the second your lights turn green, the ones that would get T-boned if not for the others braking. The look of shame on their faces is almost worth it. Dicks.

You won't get any looks of shame from the country cousins, you'll be lucky if they even register your existence, they certainly won't have paid any attention to the lights, which are an alien concept. :hattip:

Question. Is the roads heading out of P.P safe? Was going to go Pond hunting in Kampot. But Im worried about the animals coming in.

I love the traffic here, its like a bicycle roadrace - you go into all kinds of gaps, you cut others, they cut you and as long as you hold your lane and concentrate all the time your save. And how relaxed all these people are despite all the mayhem. Those guys on the riverside pavement with motos are annoying but havent really seen a lot of them speeding.

My wife was talking to a motodop driver from the country who vane to Phnom Penh years back to make more $$$. The two were talking about the lazy cops in Phnom Penh. Moto driver said something like " yeah, I felt so bad when I first arrived because I was so bad at driving in the city but because I was a moto soccer the cops let me go".
