Retirment visa, knew it was comming

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Well, they are on it already. Anyone want to give them a call and ask for price and conditions - and how long will it take for the visa if you go see them Monday ? They should know, even if the government doesn't, since they are advertising this as available. :stir:

Good find. Unfortunately if I expand the screen to read it on my cell phone it is illegible. Can someone post the company name and contact number?

HAHAHA! ! That's really funny. What better place to get a survey of retired expats as a whole.

"“You’d get bored,” the 53-year-old said between bites of schnitzel. “I don’t think a lot of people will take it up.”

Sandy Brown, a 56-year-old Australian businessman drinking cocktails at a table with a group of foreign men and Cambodian women, said he would not be retiring for a few years, but that Cambodia was an option when he did.

^^ To be fair, that's his real name. Everyone knows him as 'Bomber' Brown.

Don't forget that to receive the OZ pension you have to be in the country for 2 years before before retirement age to be eligible for OZ pension.

^^ Yes, and if Turnbull has his way, you can only stay abroad for 6 weeks per year.

You have to be in the country to apply for the pension. If you are not perceived to be a genuine resident then you cannot draw the pension overseas for two years.
There are 75,000 people drawing the OAP overseas forever, most of them Europeans. With another fractious senate in place conditions are unlikely to change now.
