I have pictures of 'cheese' from a friends doctors surgery. Would you like to see those?

Re: Relocation Expenses etc...
Once you've bought a fridge there's not much more to say. And a lot of places are rented with a fridge and gas cooker. Could be why people prefer to go off topic and talk about cheese.gavinbrisbane wrote:Thanks JB for your input... appreciated, ok, so my girl is correct, cool..... talking about fridges and white goods.....
If you're looking for second-hand goods, try the classifieds or PP facebook page.Or post in the want to buy section here.
There was also talk here of auction sales in PP, which should come up with a search.

Defunct its just getting interesting Just to fill you in so to speak. There has been a government conspiracy to overcharge JSP on cheese and pineapples. Agents follow him into Lucky supermarket (for example) distract him then change selected prices, particularly on cheese, so that now he actually believes its $100 a kilo. The government have been able to put a lot of resources into this because of a generous 24 million dollar hand out from the Australian government.gavinbrisbane wrote:This thread is now defunct IMHO,

Re: Relocation Expenses etc...
for info only
cheese is less in Cambodia than Thailand;
250 grms 24 month Vintage cheddar 250 grm 170 baht ( $4.85 ) or so Almost $20/kilo!!
but its worth it if you love cheese, some days my lunch is 3 or so different cheeses, some salami an fresh french bread
One cheese i love here is Gouda with Cumin but its $19.75 /kilo
Except when i lived in Zaire back in the 70's, i have never been without a fridge.

After some Googling, Bega brand cheese from Oz is sold by an expat food delivery company in Thailand. Price is 450 baht/$13/kilo. You got a deal on that cheese, Jamie.

I noticed that some of the cheese is $100 per Kg!! ha. Usually 60 -80 for good cheeses . Wow Kow How Now
Cheese Cheddar Bega Mild Cheddar
Weight: 0.485 Kg
Price: $5.24
Actually, if your quick Samudera is selling $10 notes for $5 each.
Shame you shop at Orange as it's only for regular customers.
MMM that looks delicious lol.
Actually I was buying those Bega smoked cheese slices in Vietnam. It was quite tasty. Best out here for the price.
Lucky also had a promo on them a few months ago. You got two packs of 10 slices each for around 3$. Trouble is, they haven't really worked out that promos are about getting your customers to taste new things. When the promo finished there were no more smoked cheese slices in the shop. ha!
That is a good price even if it is the usual factory made mild cheddar. Especially when you look at those other prices; 1.30 Kg of spuds . The spuds are 2000R for locals in the markets here and also 2000R in the supermarkets in HCMC. (2 weeks ago).
So SNV 11 bucks a kg. PP 100 bucks a KG. It's the transport costs you know. + 1 for SNV -10 for the Pig Penh. Say CHEESE.

That cat has got me paranoid. Time to start filming. Be prepared...
Don't just lick it , chew it! bloody cats.
I am rather surprised that you eat artificial mild cheddar though, after all your fine wine-ing and dine-ing and luxury apartment posts. Must be American?
