X-Ray

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

X-Ray

Post by kiwiincambodia »

Where is the best place to go just for an X-ray?

Just had an accident and think I have broken my thumb. I just want to get it checked. With it being the thumb there is fuck all they can do about it anyway but want to see if it is broken or not.

You do realize that for a broken thumb, you'll need a full plaster job from the shoulder all the way down to and including all fingers, a sling and an IV for 5 days.

But, you'll still be able to work!

Too much alcohol a short temper and a very strong brick wall. Pain has moved from thumb to wrist. Currently drinking jack Daniels to numb the pain.

Fuck the X-ray.

Ice water for the swelling - put your hand in a bucket - and ibuprofene (anti-inflammatory) to go with the JD.
If it looks ugly tomorrow go to RR.

its a popular question on google...

if you can still move it somehow, should be not too bad then...

but if not or its deformed/deplaced, then doctor and cast-thing.
could be also a chord cut...

better to have it checked, because the bones/joins that are naturally stressed all day wont heal properly, always...

Fuck the X-ray.
Yep! Next it moves to the forearm, then to the upperarm and into the shoulder. Not sounding good.

You're gonna be off work for 2 weeks, dude. (That really sucks when there's public holidays. Water Festival next week).

Hope you've got insurance.
