Pub Street Sihanoukville Underwater

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. you are pretty ignorant of the economics of the plaza at that time.

when the original lease was signed the road was 2 metres lower than it is now. the road was raised soon afterward and it took over a year before the final road height was known, which was only when they sealed the road.
The road might have indeed been leveled up shortly after but weren’t a few lands on that stretch filled up concurrently ? Anyway one didn’t need to be a genius to forsee that it wouldn’t remain at the time current height as it was failing its purpose as a dyke.

Totally agree, great bunch of bar owners and Pub Street will be sadly missed.
I wonder if the hypocritical leaseholder used his christian principles to pay for the drainage trench, or ripped off the bar owners yet again.

I’ll give you a clue. It starts with C and ends with O, and it’s not CASIO.

I hear it cleared pretty quick which begs the question where did the water go?

Isn’t it the lowest part in that area?

To answer the question where did the flood water go from Pub Street so quickly?

A trench has been dug from the back of Pub Street through the fill to a small bit of swamp that remains.

Pub Street has been washed down and business as usual.

With the flood issue resolved the bar owners can again concentrate on their future plans.

Kampot here we come!!!!!
