Professional Remuneration

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Professional Remuneration

Post by gavinbrisbane »

I am not sure exactly how to address this issue, and curiosity killed the cat....

If for example, hypothetically speaking, not pathetically speaking, there was someone who was very proficient in law (business/contracts etc.), marketing, HR and business, what in all reality would be employment prospects in PP, or elsewhere within the Kingdom be? (to the exclusion of Teaching English - that is not a problem) Just a question, happy for feedback....You have guided me before fellas, I would like your genuine advice/comments....

Kindest Regards

Gav :hattip:

Gav, not every expat teaches English.

The positions you mention are out there. Get here and network.

Maybe, you can have a gathering party when you are in the kingdom. BTW, UT is not an English teacher. :)

No you are not being disrespectful. In general, most of expats living in Cambodia working as English teachers, however there are people who are working in other sectors as well. I am Cambodian and i actually can't help you with the networking thing. i don't know many foreigners who are working in high positions.

i dont think many expats work in high positions in cambodia because the salary do not meet their expectations, unless you are willing to lower your expectations in salary, working conditions and environment
