Primitive Mentality

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Maybe he hasn't found a stunning colonial apartment with a staircase to use as a school room yet.

CR, I agree with your good ideas, I disagree with the crap ones. Fair, yes?

Well, anyhow, I wish you the best of luck with your admirable endeavors, seriously...

Have you seen the Christian Korean missionary spreading his message using a megaphone? Perhaps he will join forces with you.

Who said anything about passing religion here? Alright let's get to the bottom of this! what part is it that seems colonial to SOME of you? that I want to teach about RESPONSIBILITY, HONESTY, SELFLESSNESS, COMPASSION, ETC ETC....... nobody has been able to answer this for me or what's wrong in teaching these things? as far as I'm concerned these are basic human traits that determine good character and a good person.

I'm not saying that the whole population in Cambodia lacks all of these traits but the majority does I conclude this because I interact with the locals everyday for 3 years already. Most of the people want something from you (not friends) although sometimes acquaintances show their true colors by expecting something back from us. What I mean by expecting things I mean money, status, acknowledgement etc etc..... do you understand.
