Predictions for 2015

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

There's a great deal of jocularity and joviality to be found on this thread.

In a more serious vein, I would like to predict the total social, political and economic collapse of Thailand.

Yes, right, that does throw a slight damper on things.
On the bright side, it may not happen until 2016...

the thai's have come thru plenty of troubles over the past 80 years
( read the king never smiles)

they will get thru this

Soi Dog wrote:I predict an end to CEO with the owners deciding to pull the plug. The site has done surprisingly little to differentiate itself from it's main competitor, and with it's original antagonist deader than Elvis, has now no compelling need to exist. No advertisers, absentee owners (who sometimes post as often on K440 than here), and a viewing population barely over 130 most of the time... the vast majority of whom never bother to post and even fewer who bother to start a new thread.

It showed promise for a while there, but failed to capitalize on it's unique opportunity. Enjoy it while it lasts. The clock is ticking. Maybe Scoooobeans will hire the owners and mods from here.
I'm not addressing Soi Dog, as he in the mother of all huffs with me since I answered him back after he kept poking me, and refuses to talk to me like a little ???????????.
But re the post, imho , it's neck and neck. CEO was on the up, but 440 regained ground due to huffs, an overpowering CEO owner at times( no offence), and people not posting. However, some irritable anti social types, a mod I liked that caught " irritability" , and other reasons, 440 has blown their fightback imho.
I like GM and Scobz - BUT, on 440, you are a narrow minded bigot/ fascist/wanker/ trouble, if you disagree with the sad squad, and posts are deleted to back it up. Not to mention mod watch and a good old stoning while muzzled. The words " fair fight" are an alien to them.
