Frank I do not doubt your numbers. But that $245. # base rate is over $100 PM for garment workers pay.

it has also been recounted to me recently by gf family who work in garment factories

Sir, with all due respect. And no reflection on your gf. That is not a source as much as it is hype.There may be a token or two workers paid that amount in the garment, handbag or shoe industries. However I believe your mentioned advertised rate of pay is prolly BS to draw workers to said industries. (i.e. billboard ads). Promises of advancement, bennies, some even offer housing.

There is a good possibility that the monthly salary quoted by Frank includes much overtime work performed by factory workers under Dickensian conditions.
