Re: Policy statement
a great illustration of the shoe on the other foot and how Khmers must feel when they are routinely highly disrespected by foreigners living in Cambodia!YOU may be a Wanker and YOU may have a long nose, but I highly suspect that someone who looks down on their own race probably looks down on others as well. Righteous indignation aside, such racist epithets are deplorable regardless of skin color. Change your drugs.
in our case ( foreigners ) i think it is more of a colonial mind set though it manifests in racist terms.
I must confess to trolling a bit with the long nose stuff- but trolling often has a provocative kernel of truth in it.

Bah a third of Cambodia pretty much belongs to China, they can control from Beijing.frank lee bent wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2017 8:50 pmwhat with USA the largest trading partner?the khmers people are only tolerating your long noses until the nationalists get in a kick all barang out next year

Re: Policy statement
yes, but investments can be nationalized or resumed- especially in the case of economic land concessions which are commonly revoked and recycled.
when i say USA is the biggest trading partner- i mean clothing and footwear which is the lifeblood of trade and intimately connected to the supply chain. they cannot just go and get other markets tomorrow
pretty much the same with china, a trade war would destroy us all.

Re: Policy statement
and even worse in Oz and NZ where chinese companies control dairy and beef and can use their import policies to crash these markets in oder to depress prices for further buy outs of the producers.Bah a third of Cambodia pretty much belongs to China, they can control from Beijing.
just so you know- search chinese ownership of real estate in australia and get back to me
mean while chinese individual tourists pour into australia to buy infant formula for resale in china for 3x.
they just put it in 20 kg suitcases x 2 and pay the extra weight.
quite a lot of money for a 3 day trip.
many supermarkets in oz have a max limit for infant formula for this reason so they smurf the baby milk buys around lie meth heads with the home cooked pseudoephedrine.
quite a few small scale traders still today

Re: Policy statement
Just a comment on racism. I get annoyed at having to pay 25% more for my taxi ride than the locals but hey, if that's the status quo, I'm not going to rock the boat. I want to stay here.
