Please save the cat!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I did a search and Quora (veterinarian) says that crushing the skull would be an immediate and painless death, but for many of us, we couldn't stomach it.

If you could get a hypodermic needle and load it with something to overdose the animal, what would it be? Or any other ideas?

No, I wouldn't load any hypodermic needles with anything to overdose the animal. I would put the animal in a chamber with a nitrogen atmosphere. That's the quick, fast, humane way to do it.

I think vets use a combination of sodium pentobarbital and ketamine.

If you're in PP and need to euthanise a cat or dog, take it to PPAWS or Animal Rescue Cambodia who will do it for free.

You can put a small animal in a plastic bag and then put it in a deep freeze. It will slowly die and will hardly feel any pain.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

They do it to lobsters, I know that a pussycat and a lobster aren’t the same thing, but if you were to close your eyes there is a certain resemblance.

my science teacher Father Fahey had a cat pelt he would rub on different rods to show static electricity.
So kill the cat, skin it and give the pelt to the nearest school to help the kids with their Science lessons...

As for the best way to kill small animals, I once drove over a rabbit on Exmoor. Its back was broken but it wasn't dead and was trying to bite me (as you would when some stupid fcuker has just mished your back). I wanted to put it out of its misery. The only thing that I could think of doing was to jump up and down on it with my size 12 boots until it was completely dead....

Lucky that no-one else drove past when I was doing that :)

It's all fun and games till you actually encounter an angry rabbit:
