Phnom Penh Expat Down to His Last 44 Cents & Needs a $2,500 Loan

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Does that give people the right to say offensive things about the girl?

Do you think the things said about the girl are offensive?

If you’re a seller on social media pretending to be in the spotlights you will get comments- good and bad.

If you can’t stand the heat....

...then register on CEO and make snide remarks pseudonymously.

I feel like there should be a fat Italian from New York telling people to get outta here.

I think that calling Jacque a girl probably hurts his feelings. Do you know something about the destitute OP that the rest of us don't?

He's a Jesus guy. This and many more on his fb page.

Would his church - or a church - or a Church member - not help this man in his hour of need ?
(I don't know, but I had the idea that these God people are all about helping others, and also that they help each other out. Wouldn't the church be a natural place to turn when you need help ? )
Note that I am trying to be constructive, despite my lack of sympathy for religion and god-botherers.
(And, is it just me, or is this photo seriously weird ?)

Now don't change the question for the poster who knows all the answers.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

Someone in Phnom Penh is searching for Jacques Van Wyk on social media. This was posted last night, 15, Nov 2019:

I am looking for this guy. His name is Jacques Van Wyk. I cannot contact him. His phone and social networks cannot contact. His job is English Teacher. If I still cannot contact him, what should I do? Should I contact his school? Contact his embassy? Or report to police?

A goodbye to all you beautiful people from Jacques' social media page on 9 November. He appears to have changed schools, but he is not exactly in hiding, so should not be difficult to find.
