I guess Cambodians have bigger fish to fry than air pollution and air quality, but I do understand why so many people wear masks, especially out on the roads.

I have a pretty bog standard metal framed clothes hanger/dryer which lives on my balcony, and I use every week to hang my washing on to dry.

However, every two weeks, I wash my bedding, which means I have to drape my sheet and duvet cover over the whole hanger. Knowing that it's been outside for a couple of weeks, I know that it will be dirty, and I don't want to drape my nice clean bedding over it, so I give it a quick wipe down with some wet paper towel.

Here is the accumulation of shit that typically builds up on my hanger that I wipe off every two weeks. I live in very quiet suburban area, with very little traffic. I have no idea what it would be like if I lived in a more built up area. But that's the sort of thing that goes into our lungs every time we go outside.

I personally don't wear a mask when I go out, due to laziness, but I am starting to wonder if it's worth the extra second or two slipping one on.

The AQ isn't very good at the moment, judging by my sinuses. The lack of rain washing the crap away doesn't help.

Living in the mountains in Norway, a 2 hours drive from larger Norvegian cities, I must say that arriving in BKK or PNH really hits me hard every time. The air is not anything like I am used to and it takes me a few days to adjust every time.

Hardly surprising. The air is a lot hotter here for a start.
