Philippines vs. Cambodia

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Never lived there but did own part of a business ( bungalows on Boracay in 1984) I have never been in any country in the world that the people were so needy and all they wanted to do was get out ....Plus the separation between the have an the havenots, ( almost as bad as Cambodia)

Did love the Hobbit house and the LA cafe back in the day

Just asking .
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Fourkinnel wrote: Sun May 21, 2017 10:22 am You need to go there and find what and where appeals to you! . Just stay out of Manila if possible which is a giant Hell hole IMHO !
Visit some of the Islands such as Panglao, Boracay or Palawan which cater for all tastes, bars, live music, diving.
Accom more expensive than Cambodia unless you on a monthly deal. Food is mainly crap and overpriced, but if you have a kitchen you're on a winner. Little choice of beer in the bars but can be less than $1. More choice in the Malls, seems quite a bit of good German beers around. Spirits are almost as cheap as Cambodia.
If you are a single guy, well recommended, almost everyone speaks English, alot of hot girls, very friendly. As safe as anywhere (except Manila) in Asia, just have your wits about you and you'll be fine!

You know, you don't have to type 'plus 1+'. You can just click on the 'thumbs up' icon, if you like that post. Then Fourkinnel will get a warm, fuzzy feeling all over. :thumb:
How would you know?
I'm guessing it's not something that you would experience very often. :whip:
I don't think the thumbs up will give me the fuzzy feeling all over! Maybe a gold star?. Doesn't have to be gold, any semi precious metal will do.

I agree with the previous assessment but I found the girls noticeably less hot than in Cambodia/Vietnam and to a lesser degree, Thailand. The rest is pretty spot on.

Well I wasn't talking about that, but anyways. I did find the women there extremely approachable. As in they'll walk up to YOU and chat you up. Staff at malls would talk to me for 39 minutes and give me their number. Same for when you're in a restaurant, another patron will talk to you and so on. They swarm around you (maybe part of the whole "get out" mentality). Overall though I found a lot of them not as hot as other Asians. Their pudgy bodies are mostly due to the fast food diet, but even the faces somehow didn't do it for me... I don't know. I just mean "on average", they didn't seem to have as many girls in the "cute to stunner" category compared to here. Still, extremely friendly people and a nice country.
