Re: PassApp scam
I don’t think the drivers know the destination when they accept the jobs.StroppyChops wrote:I reckon PassApp and similar should introduce a rule that if the app fails, the fare is free. That would clean up a lot of problems.
I'm also aware of drivers that accept jobs and then pass them off to their non-PassApp mates, while they're waiting for better jobs to come along.
I think they only know the pickup point. That’s what I was told a while back anyway - it is to prevent drivers selecting the jobs they fancy and ignoring others.
I could be wrong, I’m only reporting what I was told.

Passapp you can add your drop off point which is handy as fuck if you're about to black out

Re: PassApp scam
Sorry, I'm a bit behind on Passapp and Grab because I don't spend much time in PP, but please explain why these apps are better than person to person tuktuk negociations.
We haggle, then we agree on a fair price, and everyone is good - most of the time. LOL. Seems to me that the apps are supposed to take away the stress of negociating the fare, but is that the case ?

Predetermined price mate. Around half of what experienced expats can haggle, usually.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 8:08 pm Sorry, I'm a bit behind on Passapp and Grab because I don't spend much time in PP, but please explain why these apps are better than person to person tuktuk negociations.

Yes, most of the time there's no problem - which makes the odd problem stand out more.
Edit: we still use 2 or 3 traditional guys often, usually to go where we're going, and then PassApp home if we're unsure how long we'll be out.

Cheaper, no need for negotiation, no need to give directions (normally).
Order the Tuktuk. Get in the Tuktuk. Get out of Tuktuk.
Sometimes no need to even speak to them. Perfect in my eyes

Seriously. If you're going to a private address you might have to point to the right gate, but that's about it!Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 30, 2018 8:14 pmWhat ? lol. You kidding me ?no need to give directions (normally)
