This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Someone posted on the huy bunleng thread that they have messaged the guy about it already. I had also messaged him and a friend of his on FB and she read it and says she's messaging him on whatsapp. Looks like he'll get it back.

Here's a tip. If you ever lose a passport, change your FB profile pic to your passport photo if possible and be sure to monitor your FB "other messages" folder for messages from non-FB friends.

That will only work if your facebook name is the same as the name on your passport.

If your one of those online cowards who uses a fake, masked profile to hide your identity whilst insulting and often bullying other social media users, no one will be able to match your passport with your facebook account.

How does an Irishman replace a lost passport in Cambodia? There's no Irish embassy.

They would contact the Irish embassy in Hanoi or the embassy of another EU country in Cambodia.

The British Embassy and the Irish Embassy have (some sort of) an arrangement where they cover for one another.....At least thats what I was told in France when I lost my passport....
