This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. The chalkboard outside is currently advertising 75 cent beers. Don’t all rush over there at once

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Yesterday I was in the new "Paddy Rice" now "Cheer Sports Bar" for two beers, it is very nice and extensively renovated and the outside seats with new brick pavement invite to stay.
The prices are extreme, according to the menu an Angkor beer 3,00 $, but it was settled at 1,50 $, I had the feeling that at the moment they are improvising, also the prices for the food dishes were on a high level.

Happy hour from 15:00 to 19:00 Angkor 0,75 $.

You have to wait and see how it develops, my question about the owner was answered by the manager with a silent smile.
However, I could observe the construction work and repeatedly see a lady with a white Porsche giving the order.

Does anyone know who the new owner is?

Ate there for lunch yesterday. Prices on a higher level but I had a Burger with a large beef patty, fried onions and an egg with good chips for $6.75 . I must say it was a good feed. a bit under cooked in the middle but a decent serving for the price.
Only had a water at $1.5 instead of Soda at $2.5.
They need to review the prices as I don't see them being competitive in that area with current prices.

Maybe their target clientele is tourists who have money and don't mind paying $2-$3 for a drink. The bottom feeders can still sit outside Mekong River.

But it was one of the few places you could get apple pie.
If its $6.75 for a flippinmg burger in PP then they are on summat not quite legal. At this rate Cambodia will be moire expensive than Hongkong in a couple of years. maybe time to start lookignat south america'instead of Chinese Asia
