Re: Orange Dragon
On my last two or even three trips through Phnom Penh, it was painfully obvious that Trashpats had somehow arrived at PP airport through dumb luck, did a perfectly timed face-plant before the immigration Wait Here line, slid on their own drool past the immigration officers and found themselves nose-first in last night's garbage remnants on St. 172. And on that day, another case of Chang stayed in a Pattaya cooler. Quite a few from 1st Class will do their contract in Cambodia for a few years and then follow the money to another place (Africa, South America, elsewhere in SE Asia) because that's where their university degree (engineering, science etc.) or corporate connection takes them.

Re: Orange Dragon
Are these the ones that say stuff like, "Tee Nee", "Py Nai", "Py Laew" at Pochentoeng and expect everyone to stand in awe at their impeccable Thai, which no one understands?

Very few of the trash pats, i assume ur refering to the worst of pattaya trash, speak more than 10 words of thai that even a thai finds hard to understand lol

Indeed. In the bars, too. Suddenly I hear "suway mahk mahk" and I want to puke.Username Taken wrote:Are these the ones that say stuff like, "Tee Nee", "Py Nai", "Py Laew" at Pochentoeng and expect everyone to stand in awe at their impeccable Thai, which no one understands?
True, many have a smattering of Thai. But what an insult to Cambodians when these bozos bring Thai to Cambodia. It's like the French who think they're speaking the World's Only Language and expect everyone to understand. (I've got so many examples of this in Thailand.) (I was referencing ot mien kampf's: ". . .3rd Class - trash bottomfeeders who fell off the very bottom of the Thai expat scene.") So, yeah.phuketrichard wrote:You'd be amazed at the amount of khmers that understand thai.

Re: Orange Dragon
Have to agree 100% about the french. Here they get really upset at the thai staff when they dont understand their fench. So what to they do ?
They speak french Louder at them !!
I recall after spening 2 years in Zaire, teaching in french and thinking , wow cool, i can go to paris and fit in.
So after trying to start a few conversations with people and having them look at me like i was from mars and than replying to me in bad english,
i sore Never to speak it again!!!

It's called chlamydia... they make a shot for it now but most of these cheap pricks won't shell out the 3 beers worth of cash for it.Rutiger wrote:Yeah, life would be pretty boring if everything went as originally planned.
Many people seem to have a strong opinion about you, so you must have left some kind of impression on all of them. Cheers.
