OK. Fair call, my apologies. A bit over the top, I agree. I've just had a workout - exercise always pisses me off.

I guess it's just ...I sit here watching these trolls (this particular troll) taking the piss regularly on CEO and wonder how or why others either don't see what they're up to or don't care. It probably best I just stay away from them, or make any comments toward them or about them from now on.

I’m intrigued.

I’d like to think I’m not entirely obtuse when someone pops along with some weird agenda/alter-ego/sheer off the wall madness. In real life it helps keep me in one piece. Once in a while, I think I detect something considerably amiss, but clearly I’m missing a lot of cues when it comes to these ‘sock-puppets’. In my naïveté, I’d never encountered the term prior to CEO.
The idea that Popping In may be some other forum pseudonym already known to others completely escaped me.

Can’t we just say who we think they might be, and why? What characteristic or flaw revealed them.

And yes, this particular thread within a few posts suggested there was something completely bogus which the OP has as yet not addressed. But then, in the age of farcebook, where strangers vent spleens, bowels and laundry baskets of their private lives openly, I’m not overly surprised, either.

A bit like sitting quietly in a bar, having a beer and watching odd folks pass by...

Yeah, I feel your frustration on this. At the time of that smoking topic, I didn't see anything amiss, but kind of funny now. It's a strange one, as it's not one of those CCP bots, not selling anything, no sketchy links, no attacks that I've seen, just asking for advice on how to quit smoking and bleeding out of the ass in Greece now. WTF? What's the point of that kind of trolling? I don't get it at all. That's some strange stuff. It's hard to imagine that someone would be so bored with their time that the only thing they could come up with is trolling online with these randomly mundane topics about nothing.

General: as you know, I also have interests on another forum or two. Someone goes through the process of registering on a forum, but can’t post until they’ve been approved. 1st post is a YouTube video with no connection whatsoever, however tenuous, to the forum, save that they are ostensibly on planet earth.

Bored/odd OCD/off meds/batshitcrazy

Takes all sorts I guess. Even ones locked up for their own and others protection, hopefully.

i really don't know what to say. i was asked to come clean and i came clean and the discussion just continued as if i wasn't even there and hadn't responded to the request.

there's nothing sinister about me, i'm someone who has an affection for cambodia who re-joined a cambodia forum to find out about travelling to thailand or cambodia this winter.

i'm a perfectly nice guy, whose done no harm to anyone on here or to anyone else, and whose poured his heart out on here last night when he was in utter desperation, and has been met in response by the virtual pitch fork brigade.

one guy responded to me commenting just after a) i'd been told by a doctor that i must see an oncologist today and b) the doctor refused to say whether he thought it was cancer c) i'd just looked up the survival rate of stomach cancers, by calling me "popping out", and then later went on a tirade about customer service on the website. it's absolutely bizarre how you guys see yourselves and behave if I'm honest.

amongst other emotions during a night when i've slept for 50 minutes, i felt embarrassed at my posts on here and felt i had let down those who let me post on here. why i bothered when this is how you behave to others yourselves is beyond me. i shouldn't have apologised. you're a disgrace the lot of you, and i think some of the better ones of you have lost track of how far into the cliquey mire of both cambodia and the internet that you've sunk.

apologies to have troubled you with my medical and potentially life threatening emergency in my moments of despair, when you've got important things to do like scratch your heads and remuniate about which people you've met you think someone else might be. it's like a monty python pagan rituals sketch on here.

just a misguided soul with no friends that has somehow latched on to CEO an has gotten some to interact with him.

So today I go along for the chest x-ray. I'm thinking this is a good day to do it cos my lungs are feeling like shit. The lady's all chirpy and friendly as she does the xray. She says I'm too tall to fit on the frame, so she takes some extra shots so there's pictures from the top to the bottom.

She says "that's it, we're all done.". Tells me the xrays will go to the hospital and my doctor will have them back in 5 days.

I can't stop thinking though that when I walked out she looked like she had tears in her eyes.

Probably nothing.
