Observing young barang on St 172

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Observing young barang on St 172

Post by armchairlawyer »

If they are so tech-savvy, why do they use travel shops? Airline rickets and giant ibis will always be cheaper online.
If the women are so liberated, why do they walk behind their men (sometimes by only a tiny bit, but still discernible).
Again, if they are so tech savvy why do they pay ridiculous prices for tuktuks when they could use a taxi app?

Correct, perhaps the OP can explain why they think its cheaper on-line, and why they seem to think all young barangs are tech-savvy ?

Why do birds suddenly appear, ev'ry time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be close to you.
Why do stars fall down from the sky, ev'ry time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be close to you.

$1 extra compared to buying in the Giant Ibis office, not compared to buying in a tour shop, many of whom charge >$1. And the $1 fee can be avoided if one pays by Smart.
