Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. Does he also charge the wedding couple $100-$150 for bringing white-skinned guests to their wedding?

I think I got married at that place.
Holds around 800 or so.

As the groom, barely survived the wedding process.

No idea what actually happened as a guest, was so busy with all the proceedings, never had a chance to sit down and eat and enjoy.

Might be interesting.

You certainly can. If you don't mind dodging their homicidal gun-wielding relative or machete waving spurned suitor on your way out of there.

$150 a head for terrible food, terrible music, plastic chairs, warm beer and 40 degree heat in a tent. Plus ankle deep crap all over the floor
A wedding I went to in the province had dancing girls with loud music...cute they were...so can't be all that bad
Just leave before men get drunk and want to be your friend and you have to be saved by the women.
And yes, I had a drunk khmer guy who spoke a bit of english come up to me to be my forever friend until Mrs Clutch rescued me.

I wonder if the wedding is genuine or staged.

That would be part of the experience.

It's a brilliant idea, I wish I'd thought of it.
I can't see any negatives - tourists get the ultimate cultural experience (in their minds, anyway), the couple get some foreigners at their wedding, and extra money. Guests would be talking about it for months.

Everyone would have fun, win win all round.

It’s not a terrible idea to give the opportunity for a person to be a part of a traditional wedding. If the seller is giving half back to the bride and groom they also do well and it’s win win.

I arranged for my nephews friends to connect and get an invite like that with explicit instructions for them to leave a nice cash gift. It was a highlight for them.
Stay classy na
