New Section Suggestions?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Someone else wisely suggested that two weeks ago.

Subliminal thanks Giblet. The Thai boards just recently started clamping down, I thought.

Great minds think ...

Livers would probably be more useful, but we could do a 2-for-1 to make up for the bad buzz in Thailand right now.

How about an Inside Front Page type of thing for people who like to pen articles, trip reports, travel tales etc?

I'm working on integrating a wiki sort of thing that will allow for this.

Not a New Section idea, but I can't see anywhere else to post this. But why haven't you set up User Friendly Url's? There's a simple mod available for Phpbb and since k440 don't already use it, it'll give you an extra boost.

Two reasons, one the mod is made for linux servers and mine is a windows server (linux fanboys: it's what i had, because most of my work is in .net. i prefer php to run on linux as well... but i work with what i have). Doing it in windows is still possible but a much larger pain in the ass. Two, it actually conflicts with some other mods we have in place.

It's not exceptionally critical for seo, as google now has a setup in the webmaster tools where i can (and have) define the url parameters for things like f= and t=, which means the main problem friendly urls fixed vanishes without it.

so it becomes a lot of work for little reward and undoing another feature (i can't actually remember which one now though, so it would also mean finding that out).
