New app to report wildlife crimes, eating protected species etc

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Don't Eat Turtles !

3 reasons not to buy or eat turtles:
1. It is illegal under រដ្ឋបាលជលផល Fisheries Administration law
2. Globally, turtle numbers are low, but Cambodia has important populations that need to be protected to ensure their survival
3. Turtles can pose risks to health, especially to those who touch and eat turtles.

If you see wildlife for sale or being kept as a pet, including turtles, please contact the Wildlife Crime Hotline - Cambodia Facebook page or call 012500094 Thanks for helping to protect Cambodia’s wildlife! Thanks to Wildlife Conservation Society WCS Cambodia & Partners Against Wildlife Crime for supporting the Wildlife Rapid Rescue Team and គោព្រៃ - Kouprey Express to stop the illegal trade in freshwater turtles.

Note: If you see animals or meals that appear to be endangered wildlife, then contact the specialists and they will check the provenance of the animal to determine if it is poached wildlife or sustainably sourced.
