or maybe you could break it up 0ne 9 eight 4
floor 1 - january 01, 02, 03 etc
floor 2 - febuary 01 02 03 so on and so fourth
I want a number as the name. 1984 was just a few people's suggestions
Do you have any other significant date/clock-time/number that comes to mind?

vintage flip clock and its design was all the rage few years back, you could expand on it, since ur hotel name is 1984

Re: Need help in naming a hotel (REWARD)
A 1984 themed hotel sounds like a bit of a grim place to stay, if you ask me. But you could always play Eurythmics' 1984 (For the Love of Big Brother) in the lobby. And possibly David Bowie's 1984.
Or you could call it 1999 and play a lot of Prince?
On a slightly different tack, you could call it 11:11

I know the 1984 name is like playing with fire. Could go either ways. I was thinking of making it upbeat with a focus on the music of the year, rather than the book. The book name was just for intrigue.timmydownawell wrote:A 1984 themed hotel sounds like a bit of a grim place to stay, if you ask me. But Wow.
I like 11.11 as a name a LOT. This is exactly the kind of suggestions I was looking for.

Re: Need help in naming a hotel (REWARD)
just a heads up;
hotels in Thailand that are named by numbers are usually short time hotels
I always wanted a club or hotel named "Crossroads"

Re: Need help in naming a hotel (REWARD)
i kind of like it esp if the address relates.
i like the oblique newspeak references even better though.
prole's palace has a certain ring
numerics are difficult, 1984 certainly has reference value
a name should be memorable so that qualifies
if you were Chinese you might name it 888
or 3lucky
