Need help converting Chinese to English

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Need help converting Chinese to English

Post by Artful Dodger »

I am coming across a lot of Chinese in Cambodia lately. I need help converting Chinese to English. If not English, to convert them to Scottish, French or Italian will do. I would even slum it and convert them to Pakistani as a better option. Even converting them to Turkish is an option.
If converted, maybe they will not be so rude, dirty, selfish, loud, obnoxious, money hungry SOB's.

Seriously though, if you've not yet discovered it the Google Translate app (not the webservice, the actual app) now translates many languages on the fly, and reasonably accurately (although grammar sucks).

Tbh the biggest trash I have had the misfortune to mix with has been mostly western or antipodean in origin. Generally the Chinese leave you alone and stick to themselves. I don't often go to places they do, ie bars and restaurant catering predominantly to Chinese tastes...not to avoid them, I just don't like Chinese food that much.

I suspect, given the population and our predisposition to fuck, we shall all have some Asian (Asiatic, lol) , blood in our families.
