I have some Ukrainians as neighbors. They seem like good guys. Long hair and friendly. I think they have escaped from the army and don't want to go back.

Well, Hitler called Slavs untermenschen. The whole point of the Generalplan Ost was to wipe out Slavs and "make room" for genuine Germans, whatever the fuck that means.

Nazi Slavs would be fucking weird.

Not really so weird.

As the war, dragged on, the definition expanded. As long as the heart and soul was ubermenchen, they could carry the Nazi torch.

The SS, generally regarded as the vanguard of the racial purity fight, created SS formations from everywhere.

Also, a large population of Germans moved into these new living lands during the war. Part of the pocket that still held out against the Soviets at war’s end.
