Mysterious Snoozer on Mao Zedong Bvd
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): At 9:30 pm on April 16, 2021, a man was found sleeping in the middle of the road with his left hand trembling, speechless, at the intersection of Mao Tse Toung Blvd., corner of Street 95, in Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang 3, Phnom Penh.
Sources at the scene said that the man who was sleeping on the street at the Bokor traffic light, was about 40 years old, wearing a black T-shirt and blue shorts.
Mr. Oum, a guard at the building at the above location, said that before the incident, he saw the man walking on foot from Wat Tuol Tompong to the Bokor traffic light. At the scene, the man stopped in the middle of the road, sat down, and fell asleep.
Nearly an hour after the incident, an ambulance arrived to take the man to a hospital.

Is this normally how long ambulance takes to get there?
Re: Mysterious Snoozer on Mao Zedong Bvd
Just a thought but wouldn't it have been a good idea to move him off the road rather than stand around taking photos

Infected with what... Not sure if they have added " twitching left hand" to the list of usual covid symptoms,
Or maybe they have watched too many Ridley Scott films

In this case, everyone is on high alert for Covid-19 in Phnom Penh, so I'm not too surprised that the locals waited for a medical team to take the guy away.Anchor Moy wrote: βSat Apr 17, 2021 4:33 pmThe OP said he was twitching. I don't know how it is in Cambodia but I'd be interested to know..... I've lived in places where, if someone is unconscious in the street, there's a better than average chance nobody will do anything about it. It's not that they're deliberately uncaring or callous, it's a self preservation thing, nobody wants to get involved and draw attention to themselves. Is it a thing in Cambodia too?
Mr X finds a guy on the street so moves him so he he doesn't get run over ...Police show up.. ask who moved him.. everyone points to X... X is now involved and on the police radar... police suspect X is responsible somehow for the person being unconscious because 'why else' would they get involved if he didn't cause it... unconscious guy wakes up and realises he might be able to scam some compensation money from X ... X now wishes he carried on walking and let the guy get run over...

Absolutely right, and if it's a Barang/Farang they couldn't care less. Even my (9 year) neighbours left me lying in the street in front of my house when I had a stroke, happened in LOS, 2 months ago AND they have 2 cars! I told them to bring me to hospital but they called my landlord instead who arrivend after 40 minutes. Luckily I am still ok.Random Dude wrote: βMon Apr 19, 2021 3:31 amI don't know how it is in Cambodia but I'd be interested to know.....
