Murdered French Girl in Kampot's Family Finally Speak Out
Re: Murdered French Girl in Kampot's Family Finally Speak Ou
wot?
this sounds as if the cambodian police fucked up the case 100%, entirely, fully, totally, wholly, completely, conclusivley, and to the point of no return...
and probably even totally, entirely, undoubtedly deliberately so?
i would appreciate to read a good english translation of the case files.
im good
...but think, i couldnt do this for free.

perhaps its just me... but it feels somehow, as if there is a "pipeline" clogging up... sorry, to name that so, but...
there is still the canadian sisters in the worlds mind.
then the british on koh tao, that will last.
then ophelia - which didnt make headlines really. but at least its back again in the news now.
then there was the american women (single traveler on koh wrong, cambodia) - also no big headlines - but has a lot of creep-potential to interest a worldwide audience. sorry to name that so.
this record of fucking up murder- and assault-cases on westerners cant be hold up for long anymore.
its wearing off, big time.
and behind that, there comes a very ugly fassade of ignorance, lies and cover-ups towards western victims to light.
outstandingly brutal murders and nobody convicted.
think we can say, when a crime was committed by a local against a westerner, no perpetrator will be found?
there were never much information on the french-girl-case, but with the latest bits from GM, its now 100% clear to me, that ophelia was murdered by someone from the guest house.
at least a local with very very good connections to an employee.
jmho.

We should have sent you to Kampot when it happened. You would have solved the case before lunch the following day. Or at least had a dozen suspects.

Don't forget my would-be neighbour and his french/khmer kids from the car-in-the-pond.

I hope that one day soon this joint will see beyond the 'we don't give a fuck' charade that passes as justice. It really sickens me. Complete lack of will to do anything about it.

oh like YOU woulda hung around so they could do it again for maybe 20 yrs? Read what you post before you hit enter, at least once in a whileGeneral Mackevili wrote:Yeah, and skipping bail and leaving the country was a smart move on Ollie's behalf.
It's only sheer accident if they find and jail the perp for the appropriate period. The family is either clueless (it's Cambodia for chrissake) or has some idea they'll put pressure on and get results (that they might approve of).
It's a total crapshoot. Ya come here and if you're lucky, you live a long time. Considering how non-existent justice really IS in Cambo, I'm surprised more ppl don't just take the kill em solution.

I said it was a wise decision to skip bail and flee the country.
