Moving to Cambodia
Hi to all...
I was hoping somebody here could help me, and provide me with information regarding Cambodian Visas.
After much research I haven't found an answer to my question anywhere on the internet.
My situation is as follows:
Basically I want to move with my partner to Cambodia from Ireland. It's my understanding that you can get the e-class Business Visa and renew it for 12 months, indefinitely.
It's also my understanding that you need some kind of employment letter or invitation letter from a Cambodian company.
Well for me I am a full time Forex & Stocks trader and can work from my computer anywhere that has an internet connection.
I would love to move to Cambodia permanently and continue my trading business over there as it's my main source of income.
How would the Business Visa work for someone like me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

When I picture a forex and stock trader, Cambodia doesn't enter my mind.

Well, I can see myself in a condominium on 55th Floor doing my trades then afterwards hit the gym and go for a swim, and all for a fantastic price too.

"I love Asian culture"? Iran is in Asia, North Korea is in Asia, India is in Asia, Singapore is in Asia, Japan is in Asia, I wouldn't say they all share the same culture.
Re: Moving to Cambodia
Depends on how you trade. Cambodia is 6-7 hours ahead of Ireland. Time difference might be an issue for some markets unless you want to trade from your 55th floor condo in the middle of the night.Cyber-Wizard wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 7:31 amWell, I can see myself in a condominium on 55th Floor doing my trades then afterwards hit the gym and go for a swim, and all for a fantastic price too.

Visa are no problem in the short term, but before covid there was a tendency to draw stricter visa laws. Neither EG (looking for work) or EB (Business) extensions were designed for digital nomads like you so that might a problem in the future if they start enforcing rules.

Wow bub, you sound perfect for here! I hope you're loaded, because the tallest building here goes to 55 floors and I'd like to imagine a oknha or mini oknha has already purchased the entire floor.Cyber-Wizard wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 7:31 amWell, I can see myself in a condominium on 55th Floor doing my trades then afterwards hit the gym and go for a swim, and all for a fantastic price too.

Maybe come in 2024? I believe that's when the next highest building will be built.

Re: Moving to Cambodia
You are correct of course.
I like all Asian culture. I plan to see all Asia one day, well except the middle-eastern areas, they seem dangerous.
If we're going to get into specifics, then I particularly like Chinese, Japanese, South Korean, Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai, and Cambodian cultures.
I love their ancient structures and respect their healthy diets, and the fact they are so different from the toxic western world, which is mainly why I want to live in Cambodia.

Re: Moving to Cambodia
Hi, the beautiful thing about Forex is it's 24/5 trading. I can trade anytime I like for 5 days a week. It's a pretty sweet deal!Kammekor wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 7:59 amDepends on how you trade. I hear you on the Visa, so can I not sign and stamp my own letter? Or get a work permit? as it's technically a business and i'll be paying Cambodia nice amounts of tax?
Thanks for the commment.
